Ebony & Jeff: Muckenthaler Mansion, Fullerton Wedding

Ebony’s laugh echoed from the ceilings of her Fullerton loft as she gabbed with her bridesmaids, making a small breakfast in between sips of a Starbucks latte. And as she prepared for her wedding day, 80′s music played in the background – perhaps a nod to the very thing that brought her and Jeff together. An 80′s dance party.

Ebony made her way to the lush grounds of the Muckenthaler Mansion where she would join Jeff’s hand at the alter and commit to him as his wife. She smiled through tears of happiness and sealed her commitment with a kiss…and as she walked  back down the aisle with Jeff by her side, I heard her laugh echo once again.

Ebony and Jeff : Thank you is just enough to convey all of the things I want to say to you two. There is something so special about your love – it is perhaps one of the most pure, unadulterated loves I have ever had the pleasure to witness. Your wedding was the first time I caught myself wiping away tears from behind my camera…and I mean real, hope-my-mascara-isn’t-running-down-my-cheek tears. I still don’t know why your day made me so emotional, but one thing is for sure: the beauty of your wedding could not outshine the beauty of your love for one another.

Let’s get to your photos!

Ebony started her wedding preparation at the gorgeous downtown loft she now shares with Jeff. Talk about perfect lighting!

I loved this photo the second I took it. One of my favorite moments to date!

Happy Monday!

Melissa & Vince : Cannon’s, Dana Point Wedding

She sat  in a chair with her dog Charlie perched on her lap, and calmly prepared for her wedding day. And somewhere in between the hairspray and eyeliner, she carefully blotted away the tears of joy. But when she stepped into her gorgeous wedding gown, it was the eleven bridesmaids wiping their own tears as they watched Melissa transform into a beautiful bride.

The day started at a beautiful Dana Point home where Melissa and the girls prepared for the big day.

I loved that Melissa’s dog Charlie was in on the action!Vince, looking ever-so-handsome at the Dana Point Marina Inn.The ceremony and reception took place at the amazing Cannon’s restaurant…with such a beautiful backdrop it’s hard to believe that this was an October wedding!Wedding time!So happy to be married…:)This wedding was full of coordinated personal details….love this!Such a sweet moment during the first dance.I’ll end with this nighttime photo of the Dana Point harbor….I think the beauty of this shot perfectly compliments the gorgeous couple!Melissa and Vince – Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day. Your love is a special one, and you two compliment each other perfectly. Your personalities bring out the best in each other and I have no doubt that you will be sharing a lifetime of nothing but love and laughter. I hope you had a great time on your honeymoon, and please enjoy your photos!

Amanda & Justin: Point Loma, San Diego Wedding

It was as if she was gliding around that bridal suite, surrounded by her closest friends and family as she dressed for her wedding day. And after much anticipation, in between the giggles and smiles, Amanda stepped into her wedding dress and prepared to see her groom. Then- when she finally clasped his hands in hers – she looked him in the eyes and said what the rest of us had witnessed all day: I’m SO happy right now.

Last week, Amanda and Justin were united as husband and wife in a waterfront ceremony against the backdrop of the downtown San Diego skyline. And like we all knew it would, their day unfolded effortlessly – in a carefree-kind-of-way that was a perfect representation of their pure love.

Amanda and Justin: I feel so lucky to have been a part of your day, and I had such a blast getting to know you both – as a couple – along the way. I can’t think of two people more deserving of the happiness you share and I know that your best days together are ahead of you. Thank you for the million laughs, and, most importantly, for the reminder that the best kinds of love are effortless. Enjoy your photos!

The ceremony and reception took place on the grounds of the OceanView room on the Naval Sub Base in Point Loma. The location was absolutely beautiful!

Amanda was a vision in this sweetheart gown by Anjolique. Two moments that always make me teary: Father/ Daughter dances and a mother helping the bride into her dress. Just look at this moment between Amanda and her mom! Beautiful. Amanda and Justin chose to do a FIRST LOOK before their ceremony. I was so happy to share in the reveal!

The Cabrillo National Monument was a breathtaking location for couples portraits. I could have shot here all day!See what I mean? BREATHTAKING!The awesome wedding party:)I loved the waterfront ceremony location…and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect!I’ll end with this series of Amanda and Justin’s first dance, because it is a perfect depiction of how they spent their wedding night. Dancing the night away, having the time of their lives.Happy Tuesday!

Elle Marie – Newborn

In the middle of our photo session, I made a point to ask Danny and Kaya how life has changed since their wedding just over one year ago. Kaya, looking stunningly beautiful and rocking a drowsy Elle Marie in her arms (really – how do you do it Kaya?!), whispered that their first two weeks of parenthood have come with many changes. But while their new addition has created a lack of sleep and less alone time, she made it clear that they have no complaints, because – as Kaya says – we just wouldn’t want it any other way.

Danny and Kaya: Since the birth of your beautiful daughter, I have been watching your Facebook feed go crazy with friends and family asking for pictures of baby Elle. I think that, more than any wedding, these may be the most anticipated pictures I’ve ever taken! I hope that goes to show you how many people love and support you two – and now, Elle.  As for me, I could probably dedicate an entire post to write about how much I love you both, what great people you are, and the importance you’ve had to me personally. But instead, just know that I think the world of you guys and I am SO HAPPY to have had the honor to document this new stage of your lives.  Elle is just beautiful and so lucky to have you both for parents! Enjoy your photos!

Are you kidding me with these eyes?

Kaya is a mom after my own heart. Not wanting to settle for the typical nursery, she created the details of this owl/lime green motif herself! (And with the help of Elle’s new aunt – Amanda!)Fuzzy baby parts! I love this.I’ll end with my absolute favorite…this little smirk just kills me. And I couldn’t decide if I preferred the color or the black and white, so I had to include both!:)*KM
